Advice Sought For Europe Trip

You have named six, perhaps eight destinations on this itinerary, including your return to Paris. This will dilute your two weeks with lots of time on trains or other transit. Technically feasible, I think, but is that how you mean to spend your time? Only you can say. To get a better sense of this, buy a map of Western Europe and mark your destinations. (You’ll note that the "Nice/Nimes area" is quite large.) Connect the dots into the most efficient circle that you can. Note the distances between. That is the distance you must travel within Europe. Then make a list of each day of your trip showing where you expect to be and where you expect to spend the night. For example, Day 1–Arrive Paris, work off jetlag walking around, sleep Paris. Day 2–See some of Paris Day 3–a.m. Train to Stuttgart, arrive late afternoon, sleep Stuttgart. etc. Remember that your last "day" in Europe is probably taken up with getting to the airport. This is a useful way to reality-check your travel appetite. You may feel that you’d like to spend less time traveling and more time in museums, castles, and cafes. The fewer stops on your route, the less time on trains. You could also save one day’s worth of travel by flying home from a different city than Paris (in your example, for example, Nice). Have a great two weeks!
